Disappointing lifespan; hot spots while cooking

This is my second review of this product - my previous review was posted shortly after buying it, and was generally positive (but not great or outstanding, even allowing for the sale price). With this update, the microwave has now broken. Its age is just a few weeks less than a year. Obviously disappointing. In addition, in the more name-brand premium microwave that we previously had, the rotating tray would switch directions if it was stuck (not an advertised feature, but good). In the Paderno microwave, the tray does not switch directions. As a result, food will sometimes have burnt spots, even as the rest of it is marginally cooked. For the replacement microwave, we went back to the premium brand (LG, in this case), rather than buy another Paderno microwave.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible microwave

This is the shortest time I've ever had a microwave work for in my life. Purchased this less than a year ago and it's already fried. You have to unplug it for a long time to reset it just for it to work once then quit again. Took it back to the store I purchased it at to exchange it for a new one and they refused as they couldn't find the receipt on my canadian tire Mastercard. Super frustrating that I got so little use out of something I spent a decent amount of money on. I usually purchase Vida paderno for their quality, this will be the last time. Also frustrated that the store couldn't find my purchase in their system. It was purchased there so it shouldn't be an issue finding it in their system but of course they were less than helpful.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It works good, but....

It has this seemingly pointless feature that requires the stop button to be pressed before the door will open. Even after it beeps to signal the time has expired. This isn't my first microwave oven. I've never seen such a pointless, counter-intuitive interface. But... it makes Lunch hot, and that's good.
