Dispendieux mais résistant, cette peinture résiste mieux aux produits chimiques et essence que les autres peintures.

Q: Does the surface need to be bare metal or can there be surface rust and paint? When preparing the chassis, do I need to remove all the old paint and rust down to the bare metal, or can this paint over old paint that has been prepared (scuffed and loose pain removed) as well as minor surface rust Thanks.

1 Answer
  • A: The customer would want to remove any flaking rust or paint prior to applying the VHT Roll Bar and Chassis Paint. For best adhesion, apply to bare, profiled metal surface.

Q: What square foot will this cover, and what temperature does it need to be applied at? Just wondering how many square feet one can will cover. I need to paint an entire 1968 Ford Full Size frame this weekend and am wondering how many cans I will need to use, and if I can actually paint with it at about -5* in my garage. Thanks!

1 Answer
  • A: The product should be applied between 50-90 degrees F. For a full frame on an F150, it would probably take about 4 cans, depending on how many coats and how it is applied.
