Q: What is the height off of crossbar for the convoy alpine model? Also what is the weight of the convoy alpine model?
3 years agoA: I don't think that's correct as in another question below the dimensions for the box are noted below and for the alpine the height is listed at 12.5. I'm looking for the height off of crossbar as many thule models have lower height off of crossbar than overall height. The alpine model is ( length x width x height ) 88 x 25 x 12.5 the Medium model is 67 x 35 x16 and the convoy Large is 76 x 33 x 16.5

Q: I have a Volvo with a cross bars that use a U-bolt system - does this box attach using U-bolts? Or what exactly is the way to secure it to the rack?

Q: What is considered M, L and XL for this Thule Convoy XT box as the different sizes are indicated as 340.00 l, 368.00 l and 453.00 l. Up to what ski length does each box accommodate?
3 years agoA: 340L = Alpine, fits skis up to 198cm 368L = M, won't fit skis 453L = L, fits skis up to 175cm

Q: What would be the dimensions for the medium and large sized box? It’s seems the website only lists one set of dimensions but I can’t determine which one it is for. I have men’s skis that are 169cm that I need to fit.
3 years agoA: The box is around 6 feet (200 cm) long, so your skis will fit easily. As well as your boots, poles, and many more sets of ski equipment. I bought my roof box in August 2022 for 699.99, and I see that the present CT flyer for Nov 10-17, 2022 has this same Thule box, canadian tire item 040-1588x on sale for 559.99!!

3 years agoA: I don’t think so, perhaps at an angle but don’t think so. Have a trd pro with raised roof rack and the attaching mechanism is quick, lots of space in it
