Q: Do you absolutely need the app? I.e, for setting up the device, can I do so without installing an app? I don't have a phone. Or, for viewing videos afterwards, can I simply remove the SD card and view on my computer

Q: Hi - I have a 2016 Land Rover LR4. While I already have a Garmin dashcam for my front, someone advised me to install one for the rear. Can this Thinkware Q800 be used as a rear dashcam & do I need to get any additional parts for that purpose? Thanks.
4 years ago- A: Yes, it can be used as a rear dash cam, no additional parts are needed. You would need to find a suitable power source (for the cigarette lighter cable) that turns on/off with the car ignition. If the dash cam is connected to an always-on outlet, then this may drain the car battery.4 years agoHelpful?
