I've seen the reviews & can honestly say that these keep you IN the water not floating above it. We took them to the lake & strapped them to our paddle boards to use for a cool dip float. I'm a fairly fluffy gal & this held me fine. I think it's about what you want to use them for. I could see the netting being fragile but I'm not overly concerned, because I went & bought 2 more for friends to use. Just don't drag them across the beach or lake bottom. I wouldn't recommend these for kids(basket too big) or someone who will use them for rough play because they won't hold up.

A: No you don't need a pump. Just use the lungs to blow and in minutes, it's ready to go. I had mine for 8 years.

Q: What is the folded dimension (width) of the lounger? Need to know if it can fit into a carry on suitcase.

A: The folded dimensions when brand new are 13" x 13" x 2". Once it is inflated, then deflated and folded, these dimensions may be slightly larger.
