Bought one yesterday primarily for slicing bread. It works great. I have a small kitchen, and the fact that it folds up for storage was a big selling point.

Great Bread Slicer

I mainly use this slicer for slicing homemade bread, and it works very well. The slices are even and the thickness is adjustable. I like that it’s manual, which makes it feel safer to use. It’s also easy to clean and store. I would definitely recommend it for this purpose.

This is a great slicer! Best thing since sliced bread!
I bought it to slice bread made in my bread maker to get perfect sliced loaves! Would definately recommend this product!

It does the job

Reasonably priced and stable on the work surface. Blade is sharp and the cut widths are consistent. A minor complaint, but I frequently have to reposition whatever I'm slicing before the next cut because the plastic hand guard-pusher allows it to move around more than I expect. As a manual it's quite a good product, but I sometimes wish I had 3 hands so I could finish a slicing job with less repositioning interruptions.

Q: How much of the blade is used for slicing? If the blade is 6.5"/16cm total in diameter, is only 3"/7.5cm available for say, slicing bread? Would it work for loaves of bread which are usually 4"-4.5"/10cm high? Thank you.
