Easy to assemble but picture online shows easy lift system which this model no longer uses. The photo just needs to be updated.

Great hoop for small and big kids. Moving the hoop up and down is a bit tricky but with time it becomes ok.

Q: Metric answer please (I am in Canada): How much sand is required to fill this base? The marketing blurb says "27 Kg" while it also says "360 lbs". These do not equate. How much sand in Kg do I *really* need to properly fill this base?

A: I have filled it water and then kept 2 bags of 20 lbs each on top of it. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Q: I’ve seen some reviews saying the backboard is weak? Is this true?

A: Our Polycarbonate backboard's are one of the most durable backboards we offer. If you purchase this system and experience any issues, all of our backboards come with a 5 year limited warranty which would cover the backboard under normal play. The warranty doesn't cover damage caused by mother nature or excessive dunking/hanging on the rim.

Q: Is the hoop 44 inches high?

A: The 44 inches refers to the width of the backboard, so the backboard is 44 inches wide by 30 inches tall. The height of the hoop can be lifted from 8 feet to 10 feet in 4 inch increments.

Q: What size basketball does fit. I’ve looked at different hoop systems. Some fit regular basketballs, some smaller balls. I have a regulation ball. Will it fit

A: All Spalding systems with backboards over 32 inches will fit all basketballs. 27.5 inch ball is for kids 8 and under 28.5 inch ball is for males 9-13 and females over 9 years old 29 inch ball is male over 13 years old

Q: I would like to store the system in my garage and bring it out when we are using it. How easy is it to move?

A: Yes it does! The wheels on the base allow you to easily move the hoop up and down the driveway and into the street. If you have sandbags or water in the base, we recommend making it lighter so it's easier to move. When storing, either in the garage or outdoor, we also recommend lowering the hoop. If it's being stored outsite, lowering the hoop will mitigate risk of strong winds blowing it over, while making it easier for you to move around the driveway.
