Not designed for rigorous use, I’ve used this as a floor mat for warm up exercise I’ve had it for a month, bits are torn out of it just from foot movement, it’s a piece of junk, I feel completely ripped off.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Yes I live in an appartment and my neighbor below said it is better than doing it without the mat. Unfortunately I only walk on the treadmill as running would be too much. With the mat he said it was like a herd of elephants running.

Q: wondering if this mat is acceptable to use on medium pile carpet to support a treadmill? or if i should be looking for something more thick?

A: In most cases, this mat is fine for use under a treadmill with medium pile carpet. However, some medium piles can be very soft, and you may want to look at the thicker interlocking fitness flooring tiles to use under the treadmill. CTC offers a 4pk of 12mm thick tiles as well as a 6pk of 20mm thick tiles.

A: Great question! You may use either side of the mat, however the textured side is usually placed on the bottom for better traction.
