    It is what it is… an oil filter. No difference noted from brand to brand as far as I can tell. I’m no expert. This one was in stock for my vehicle so I bought it..

    I was in the market for a new oil filter the other week. So I stopped in at my local cambodiantire to search for said part. It turns out that they had both a Fram unit and this Rotella unit. Acting a little on the wild side I decided to purchase both. Well I tell you what; this filter screwed right onto my motor just like any other one that I've used in the past. The box that it came in was also quite easy to open. Now I can't speak to the performance of the filter just yet because it is still in operation on the truck. But I suspect that it will be full of oil on the day that I change it out for a fresh one in about 10,000km. For the record the Rotella cost the same as the Fram. I think that Wix or Baldwin are probably a little better but they were not available at this time. And for more on the record I have been using Rotella 15/40 oil for 10 years or more.
