Shantex Eco Tiles interlock to create a floating deck that can be installed over existing surfaces
Although made from 100% wood-plastic composite, this tile resembles real slate texture
Lets you obtain the look of slate without the costly installation and maintenance
Slip resistant: The surface of the wood plastic composite grips against rubber soles to create an anti-slip surface
Easy to cut: Can be treated like cutting regular wood, all types of saws can be used as long as it is with a fine blade
Pattern design: Each of the composite strips on the Eco Tiles can be popped off by using a flat head screw driver; different patterns can be made by rearranging the composite strips
Drainage: Each individual Eco Tile has a crown design on the composite strips allowing for quicker and more efficient drainage capacity
The base of the tile is designed as a drainage mat to allow for proper drainage and airflow to prevent moisture build-up
Resistant against cracking, splinting and chipping
Cleaning/maintenance: The tiles can be cleaned by using basic soap water and pressure washing

The perfect solution for our uneven deck!

The deck over our garage is not level and rain water was pooling in various places on the old vinyl so that it always looked dirty and stained. The water from our plant pots was also leaving ugly stains. We didn't want the cost and effort of leveling it so we researched our options and found this product. It has totally transformed our ugly deck into a modern cozy outdoor space which looks great rain or shine. I was able to install it myself with just the use of a multi-tool to make the cuts around the railing posts and along the house. We have a large irregularly shaped deck so there were lots of cuts to make but it was easy to do. The tile looks like real slate. The composite slate tile clicks into the base so you can easily rotate the top slate pieces to mix them up so you don't notice that the slate pattern is identical on all the tiles. We've had lots of compliments on our beautiful new deck surface. It always looks clean even around the plant pots.

A: No... these are cheap plastic. Not durable or secure enough for steps. Canadian Tire sold me a bunch of these... all broken, as they had been used as in-store display. They denied that until I showed them photos of their own display. Return process was a nightmare. Garbage product (dirty/broken) and honestly this experience with Canadian Tire was just as bad. So no... stay away from these unless brand new and used on flat surface... they do in my opinion look like slate and are light weight... great for the right application. Look before you buy with these.

Q: I am using these to cap my entrance stairs. What would I use as an adhesive?

A: For the adhesive to be used for our Shantex Eco Tiles, any adhesive can be used as long as it binds both plastic material to plastic material. Since both our interlocking base (made from plastic) and composite cover (made partly from plastics) each has plastic characteristics.

A: Yes you can, the Eco Tiles are designed to be easily cut to fit around the designated space. You can use simple tools such as handsaw, hacksaw, circular saw etc. And Yes, they are definitely suitable for indoor use.
