Outstanding Quality and Performance – Sea King Casting Crab Trap Delivers!

I recently picked up the Sea King Casting Crab Trap and couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I unpacked it, I could tell this trap was built with quality in mind. The mesh is sturdy, the frame holds its shape well, and it’s incredibly easy to fold and transport.
What really impressed me was how well it performs out on the water. I’ve used it multiple times now off the pier and from shore, and it consistently brings in crabs—Dungeness, red rock, you name it. The bait cage is well designed to keep the scent in and draw crabs fast. I even got a few compliments from other crabbers asking where I got it.
It’s lightweight enough to cast without struggle, but tough enough to handle rocky bottoms and tide movement. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use crab trap that actually gets results, the Sea King Casting Trap is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

The net is very weak and the springs can not open up firmly. Tried to return it and the customer service refused the return as it's been used once. How would the customer know if the product is satisfactory without trying it out?

Q: New to crabbing. Does this trap meet the legal size and other requirements of a crab trap ("Crab traps are required to have two unobstructed circular escape holes or rings, measuring a minimum of 105 mm in diameter...")?

A: This would be considered a "ring net" not a "crab trap". As such, it doesn't need the escape holes/rings. The DFO's "Crab Harvesting Information" page will confirm this (even has a picture of a ring net so you can be sure).
