Best I have used

Have used these now for a number of years on my homemade oars. They are strong and quiet and allow choosing a shorter or longer spacing to the rower.

requires pin

Oar locks fit perfect in hole, but it would be nice if they came with a lock pin for the bottom hole so they don't slide out.

Works as designed

These work fine, but do not come with a "keeper" pin.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Scotty Product

Had these oarlocks as part of the package when I bought my pontoon boat in 1991. Two years ago I bought a plastic boat and have continued to use the aluminum oars and these oarlocks since. I have the utmost confidence in anything made by Scotty.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Lasted about 30km

Broke on me about 10km from camp. Only lasted sbout 30km total. Seems like the retainer pin goes the plastic and not metal or the shank itself broke. Considering my sockets are on a plastic boat, that's pretty lame.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • Zipties to hold it in.
