First time installer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never installed a door handle in my life. So this was my first one. I figured I would try to install it myself before hiring someone and I’m so happy I did! It was super easy to install. I looked up a video on YouTube for this exact handset. I followed along with the video it was so easy to install. It works perfectly and looks really nice. Feels heavy duty I was replacing a handset that was broken so all the holes were already drilled. I measured ahead of time to make sure that the handset would fit using the specifications listed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had Schlage products in our home for years and have been very satisfied with their operation and performance. Formerly in the security door industry, I've sold and installed many of your handle and lock sets. Suggestion for product offering: Higher Security Accessory kit (certified pro install only), compatible with all residential deadbolt locks. A. Include 3 ea. 5"-6" color coordinating screws for in in each hinge. B. Pilot hole drill bit. C. Security jamb plate. Optional; D. Top and bottom sliding door pins. E. Door handle sleeve. (Has cut out or indent for latch plate). Install Instructions: Steps 4-5: Deadbolt BEFORE strike plate install, extend bolt. Close door up to jamb. Mark top and bottom location of bolt on side of jamb. This shows strike plate center point and may prevent jamming or sticking of bolt as seasonal swelling of jamb structure may occur. Be sure to center strike plate vertically and horizontally depth wise, so bolt not too difficult to operate, especially if using any electronic /automated lock systems. Step 8: Wait to attach handle bolt cover (i), until all adjustments completed and latch working properly. This will prevent scratching of finish during removal, should unit adjustments be needed.
