Not as advertised and weak design

I got this and tested it on scrap. I followed the instructions exactly. The stream was not a spay but a line like other reviews stated. I decided to try it anyway as the two test I did still looked promising. When I tried the spay a third time it did not spray at all. The two tests I followed the instructions to clear the line after use. The second test no issue but the third time nothing. I then inspected the outlet in hopes to find the leak. The nozzle falls off when I tried a forth time to see if it was still clogged. At this point I do not trust it for even testing to clear it. I will be returning it shortly. Garbage product.

    Does not work.

This is not a spray, it shoots in one thin stream, just like silly string, forming an ugly lump of rubber, returning it tomorrow.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Comes out as a stream that clumps into a mess

I expected this to spray out but even after vigorous shaking it came out as a stream that clumped into a worm-like mass that I had to scrape off.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Stopped leak in basement

I tried this product as a fix for water leaking into my basement through a crack in concrete. I sprayed it on and the leak stopped. I used it in the fall of 2016 and the leak is still fixed! I've also used it on my eavestroughs and fenceposts. Definitely recommend this product because it lasted longer than flex seal and leak seal. ALso like the fact that its Canadian.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Hello Can this product or something similar be used in a shower as a sealant?

    1 Answer
    • A: Technically, yes the spray-on Rubber Shield can be used in a shower as a sealant. The pro’s of using the product is that it is VOC-free and safe to use indoors. However the con’s of using the product in a shower is the aesthetics. The product is black, and the spray nozzle covers a wide area, so if it being used in a visible area, it may not look very good.

Q: I am restoring a 1966 F100. Can the black version be sprayed on the carboard heater plenum to give it a nice black rubberized finish?

    1 Answer
    • A: The vendor does recommend using this product for this application. The nature of the product means it cures to a slightly tacky finish, which allows it to expand and contract while repelling water. In this customer’s case, the tacky finish would attract dust, and therefore not provide the finish the customer is looking for.

Q: Would this product work well on exterior seams on camper trailers?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes the product will work very well on exterior seams for camper trailers. Because the product remains flexible when cured it will maintain a seal even with small movements that happen during transport and setup.
