I had been looking into an electric canner for awhile. I was so tired of waiting forever for water to boil on the stove. My husband surpme with the gem! I plugged her in right away and ran a batch of pickles through. It held water temp, and I didn't have to add any water due to evaporation. Definitely the best purchase this year. If you can, you need this! I may never use my stovetop canners again
