    Hi CS Sudbury, many Fire TV Sticks primarily use Bluetooth for control, not standard infrared (IR). Because of that, most universal IR remotes will not control a Fire TV Stick the same way the original Fire TV remote does. Even with a brand new remote and included batteries, Fire TV navigation typically won’t work unless the streaming device supports IR control. In many setups, the universal remote can still be used for the TV’s power, volume, and input,

    Barely adequate

    No ‘back’ function for most applications. That lacking function is a strikeout for utility. Get a fully functional remote instead.

    Hello Adequate - We understand how important full functionality is in a universal remote. The ‘Back’ or ‘Return’ command depends on the device being controlled, as some TVs and streaming boxes use different key mappings for that function. We recommend trying additional codes from the included code list or using the Auto Code Search feature to see if an alternate code provides the correct functionality.

    It worked great 👍 with a an old Canton soundbar otherwise inoperable and useless. Contrary to the instructions I could set it up with the soundbar turned off 📴 initially as being unable to turn it on manually was actually the problem this had to solve. And it did solve it! I just needed on/off and "source" so I can select the input (AUX, Optical, etc.)

    Everything works as expected, with one exception…

    Everything works as expected except…the volume/channel/navigation (the buttons in the centre of the control) are difficult to feel which button your pressing, often I find myself changing the volume or selecting a movie when all i was trying to do was navigate to the next movie. Not a good design if you’re a channel or movie surfer. Ended up buying another unit where the buttons were better separated.

    Missing guide button

    Set up remote with my Telus cable box, testing it out, discovered that there is no guide button which would normally bring up the channel listing. All I can do is use the up/down buttons to browse the channels. Very frustrating. My tv and soundbar work fine.
