Good if you need something cheap.

Used on a home made tip up. It clearly wasn’t designed to mount something flat as about half the screw is inside the curve of the mounting bracket so the screws were useless for this application. Also the mounting bracket is cheap plastic so not sure how long will last. If it breaks I’ll probably just make my own mount.

Not a rattle reel.

This is not a rattle reel, but more of a clicker type reel. There is a plastic piece inside the spool that moves along gear teeth as the reel turns to make the clicking sound, but it also causes the line to come off the reel in a very choppy way. Older ones actually had a rattle inside and the line came off the reel fairly smoothly. If you do try to open the spool up, and remove that piece, be gentle or the plastic will crack.

No, I do not recommend this product.
