Not for all

Sure it works well with FIA raised garden. Not so easy with different garden types. Got it to work but would have been nice for application to be clear. Directions didn’t explain very well.

Dear Rick, Our apologies for any confusion that you may have had with our animal barrier kit. This it is designed for our raised garden beds however if you are using it on another type of garden, the installation steps are slightly different. The main point of difference will be with how the animal barrier installs into the ground. For FIA garden beds, the poles will insert directly into the stakes of your garden bed, For all other gardens, the poles will insert directly into the soil or, Frame it All stacking stakes can be purchased separately for additional strength. If you still need further clarification or would like a set of stakes for your animal barrier kit, please contact us at Support@Frameitall.com and we'd be happy to help!

Nice, intuitive design. Plastic netting inadequqte

I installed this about 6 weeks ago in an attempt to fend of rodents (mainly groundhogs). The installation was relatively simple, and it’s a good design with the posts going into the stakes for the raised beds. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks animals had already chewed through the plastic netting to get into my garden in multiple places. It does seem to be holding off the majority of animal attacks (I don’t think the groundhog has gotten in) and the garden is still doing relatively well, except for my bean plants which were annihilated by one of the intruders. If you can offer an upgrade to this product that replaces the plastic netting with a wire mesh, that would be amazing.

Instructions could be clearer.

I just assembled the gates for the first unit I bought and I have a couple of quibbles with the instructions. Step 1 tells you to use parts 3 and 7 for the upper and lower ends of the hinge of the left gate. If you do that, the gate will be well towards the inside of the bed and the netting at the bottom of the gate will drag on the top of the board. I turned the gate around and used it as the right gate after I put the netting on the other side. Step 1, part 3 tells you to "add two square tubes (9) to create ..." Parts #9 are plastic corners for the square tube, not the tubes themselves. It should specify using parts #18.. It would even be helpful to mention that they are the longer square tubes. Squaring up the gates had to be done by using the netting since Step 1, part 2 tells me merely to "slide the lower hinge ABOUT 6" past the bottom end of metal tube (20)". I have attached a couple of photos of the repositioned gates.
  • Left gate, used as a right gate.
  • Both gates. Note position of the netting flush with the outside of the boards.

Loved this until a raccoon ate through the fence

Putting the raised bed and animal protection system together was a lot like Lego for adults. The video links sent with my order confirmation were helpful. The 3D custom design software was great for telling me what parts I needed. Would have rated this a 5 star except for 2 things. Firstly, the 4 inch clear zip ties were impossible - I through them out and bought 8 inch black ties which looks better and were much easier to use. Secondly, after all that time and work to put it together, a raccoon ate through the fence. I guess I am off to the hardware store for metal chicken wire.

Customer Service
Dear Sharon, Sorry to hear that you've had some issues with our animal barrier kit. It's very unusual for a raccoon to chew and squeeze through the hard plastic netting. I would be happy to send you a replacement net if you would like to overlap onto your existing netting. Thank you for your feedback on our zipties as well! This is something that we are in the process of swapping out on our kits. In the future our animal barrier kits will come with longer, black zip ties to better match the color of the animal barrier and make assembly easier.

The garden bed I have, is not from FIA. So

The garden bed I have, is not from FIA. So the install of this product was much more complex. A few calls to customer service and don’t give up attitude, we were able to make this work. Had to use saw tool to cut pipes to size Sturdy build, great look and good price The zip ties should be longer
