Its special grade activated carbon and exclusive filtering technology work to significantly reduce levels of chloramines, chlorine, and particle matter in drinking water. Compatible with Rainfresh systems, this replacement cartridge is engineered to treat high levels of chloramines, which cannot be removed by boiling, distillation or regular activated carbon filters.

A replacement pre-filter for Rainfresh QS2 System (62-1087). Can also be used as alternate cartridge for QS1 system (62-1086) and external fridge filter (62-1085)

Replaced original OE remote fridge filter with Rainfresh unit because of constant leaks. Rainfresh replacement filter lasted same as OE, water tastes no different, no leaks, less than half the price.

Lasts for 4 or 5 months for two people. Very expensive filters at around $100.00 each time. Maybe a Brita filter could do the same job for a lot less.
