A: Hello Victor, the reason you are hearing the beep after a week is because you have not correctly reset the ballast counter to zero. The ballast re-set instructions are included with the new lamp. Press the RESET button on ballast while reconnecting ballast to electrical outlet and keep the button pressed until the ballast emits a solid three-second beep. This will re-set the lamp-change-timer to zero and the 3-second beep will confirm that the re-set was successful. If you have questions, please call Rainfresh at 1800 667 8072. Thanks. Bonjour Victor, la raison pour laquelle vous entendez le bip après une semaine est que vous n'avez pas correctement remis le compteur de ballast à zéro. Les instructions de réinitialisation du ballast sont incluses avec la nouvelle lampe. Appuyez sur le bouton RESET du ballast tout en reconnectant le ballast à la prise électrique et maintenez le bouton enfoncé jusqu'à ce que le ballast émette un bip solide de trois secondes. Q: I would like to keep a spare on hand. Will they store ok for a year? Will the warranty cover the use time, when I put it in next October? Thx.

A: Hi, The Rainfresh UV lamp (62-1008) can be stored in its package for a long time without any problem. The warranty, however, comes into effect from the date of purchase. Q: Does the alarm sound after a set number of hours or when ghd UV output drops below a certain level? I'm only getting 10-11 months from mine.

A: The UV lamp has to be replaced after 1 year of use. The replacement reminder alarm (flashing red LED and buzzer) is triggered after 11 months of use. At this stage the alarm simply reminds the user that the lamp will expire after one month. The alarm can be shut by pressing the button on the ballast. The alarm will remind 3 more times (1 month), after which it cannot be silenced unless the lamp is replaced and the lamp timer is re-set. Note that the lamp life is 1 year of use. So if you use the unit for (say) only 6 months a year, the lamp replacement alarm will come on after 2 years and so on. Hope this answers your question. A: The replacement UV Lamp (62-1008/Rainfresh R830L) is 20.5” long including electrical connector pins. 62-1008 fits CT 62-1006 (Rainfresh R830F) and Rainfresh R830 UV Systems. CAUTION: Both the UV Lamp and Quartz Dome/Sleeve are high quality glass and VERY FRAGILE. Handle with care and caution and insert or remove from UV Housing very carefully in a straight plane.
