A: Thank you for considering Rainfresh! The 5 Micron fine pore filter cartridge model (621037) filters particulate matter such as dirt, sand, silt, rust particles, loose scale from pipes etc. It does not remove calcium or water hardness as these are dissolved in water. To remove calcium (hard water) you will need to install a water softener. If you have further questions, please call Rainfresh live support at 1800 667 8072. Thank you!
