Amazing lift!!

For the price and design, it's a great lift! I am restoring a car and it gets it up off the ground to keep me from having to bend down all the time. Remember to buy hydraulic fluid/transmission fluid when you buy it- It comes dry. Easy to assemble- easy to fire up.... Took me 20 minutes and my car was in the air! wish they made a 10k# unit for my diesels!!!

Great lift for shorter ceilings

I'm using in his lift on a 2006 Honda Ridgeline, although my truck weight is right at max capacity for this lift it's still nice and stable. It wobbles a bit more than when on 4 jackstands when the lift is at max height. But no issues at all when removing axles and doing a rear diff service as well.

While it may seem a bit pricey the value is definitely there. It only takes a few minutes to position under the car and works great. Would definitely recommend if you can afford it.

Q: Is it strong enough to lift a pick up truck

  • A: It has a capacity of 5000 pounds. Check the weight of your pickup. It should be on your registration. A small pickup might be under 5000 pounds. I used to have a 1988 Chev 2500 series 4x4 and it was 5600 pounds, so it would have been way too heavy for the jack.

Q: Does this need a level base? Will it work on a driveway with a slight incline?

  • A: QuickJack car lift is safe to use on many different types of flooring, indoors and out. There are a few surfaces that require some “rigging” to ensure the frames rise evenly. Make sure the surface has no more than 3 degrees of slope. Grab a level and check it out. If using on asphalt or compacted and dry dirt paddock areas use 3/4" plywood under each jack frame. A level floor with 2 degrees of slope is suggested for safe use.

Q: Will these work with a Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 2015?

  • A: Well it would work size-wise and empty it's 4500lbs which is ok, but if the van was full of heavy things, you'd be exceeding the weight limit. The way I look at it we're making a 5000lb bear trap. I've done some heavy work on six different vehicles with this lift, I just don't want to exceed the posted numbers.

Q: When you pick-up this kit at CTC, does it fit in a hatchback or a trailer is required ( what's the size of the package, box... L x W x H ) ?

  • A: It fit in my Mazda 3 hatch with the seats down and the passenger seat all the way forward. Comes in three boxes - one each for the frames and one for the pump and accessories. The 5000tlx frames are 71 inches so a little longer in the box.

Q: I have 47" of clearance between the front and rear tire.....eill this fit? (it's a very small car)

  • A: I find Alan's story hard to believe. I bought this jack two months ago and have used it extensively. I used to own a shop, spent years using hoists and I can tell you this is a remarkable device and we're lucky Canadian Tire is selling them at such a good price. I had to contact Bendpak for warranty on a fitting and they were excellent. The fitting arrived 1.5 weeks later free of charge. I've also read instances of Bendpak replacing the odd pump under warranty. I could not be more happy with the hoist and it's 100% safe. But one thing I know, the company stands behind the product during the warranty period. I cannot believe his car is 'stuck on the hoist' for more than a month. It's 1.5 weeks for regular courier from Bendpak to Vancouver Island....and that's if there ever was an actual problem to begin with....
