Piece of garbage

You get what you pay for and this chainsaw is horrible. Honestly it is a complete waste of your time. I have used Stihl and Echo products with no issues but this poulan chainsaw is terrible. The chain comes off all the time and it’s next to impossible to reset properly. You end up spending a whole day fiddling with the thing instead of getting any work done. Do yourself a favour and go buy a Stihl or an Echo chainsaw and Dave yourself a lot of wasted hours.
No, I do not recommend this product.

If you plan to work this saw remember:
Poor serviceability, you have to take most of the saw apart just to clean the air filter. The carburetor adjustments require a specialized socket screwdriver so you cant adjust your high \ low unless you cut a slot on the screw heads. the saw carb needs regular cleanings even with regular use it seems emissionized and susceptible to plugging. I bought it for my weekend helper to limb small trees and i cant rely on it. disappointed, helper prefers axe

Good Quality Great Price

Purchased this saw on sale several years ago. Have gone through three bars and six chains and saw still works great. This saw is light, easy to operate and surprisingly quite powerful. I choose to use this saw for most jobs , rather than my larger more powerful saw used for bigger jobs. This saw was not meant for professional loggers , I fell and cut up about eight cords of wood a year and this saw as never failed me. Need to follow starting directions each and every time you start and provide basic maintenance keeping saw clean ,chain sharp, proper chain oil and proper gas/oil mix .Only problem encountered is that body screws work loose in plastic after some time and need to be replaced with larger size ,if not for that would have given five stars.

P3416 good little saw

Bought this saw 2 years ago, worked great right out of the box, always starts and runs good. Used the saw a lot during last years ice storm, my yard was covered with downed limbs, also helped the neighbours on our street, this saws worked great and always dose every time I need to use it.
Note I like to mix my fuel with a little extra oil, it won't hurt these small engines.
