The entire flat top does not heat properly, only where the burners are . And definitely should have had some kind of a grill guard ( wind, splatter ). Nothing can be done since it’s been used . Very disappointed for the money .

Excellent Small Griddle!

I purchased this griddle last year. I also own a 4 burner Blackstone Griddle (BSG) . While not as powerful or large as the BSG this griddle will do iexactly the same thing as the much larger griddle. As well, it is very portable. I find myself using this smaller griddle for my wife and I more than the larger BSG. It's much easier to clean. I got this on sale for less than $200 which is about a third of the cost of my BSG. I have no problem recommending this griddle.

Q: Is there a drain to remove the grease

A: This grill contains a drainage hole in the centre of the grilling surface that all grease is funnelled to. Underneath the hole is an oil cup to catch the grease.

Q: Your description in the "Features" section above claims the grill top is "Stainless Steel" however you call it different things, and say it can rust. Which is it, because if it is stainless it would not have to be protected with oil all the time.

A: The cooking area on the 4 burner is a 3.0mm cold rolled steel hot plate which is seasoned with oil. It is not stainless steel and can rust if not seasoned as per instructions. Cold rolled steel however, is a safe and effective cooking surface.

A: Please see the following steps: 1. Let the griddle cool down after cooking 2. Scrape the surface with a metal spatula or scraper; 3. Wipe it down with a paper towel or dish cloth 4. Pour some water onto the griddle while it’s still warm. Don’t use soap! The hot water will make it easier for the harder residue to come off; 5. Rub a nylon scouring pad gently on the surface 6. Rinse off the water with paper towels 7. Dry it gently with a cloth to avoid rust

Q: Is it exactly how it shows in the pic?? With the flat grilled on top?? I went to canadian tire in sunday looking for it and couldn't find it

A: Yes, the flat griddle is exactly as it looks on the picture. Unfortunately not all locations carry this item but you can find the in-store availability on our website. The box can be found on the shelf with the other portable BBQs.

Q: What material is the griddle top? Cast iron or cast aluminum ? How heavy, solid is the top? Supports underneath to stop warping ? Does it have a fat drip pan? Does it have a coating on the surface when it's new? Can I use metal utensils like spatulas ?

A: The griddle top is solid steel plate, not cast. It is 3mm thickness, and about 10kg. Supports are not needed underneath to stop warping because the 4 edges of the griddle top are securely screwed to the firebox. There is a drip cup underneath to catch grease. The grill comes with an oil coating on the surface. Yes you can use metal utensils.
