Works with a slight manual alteration

I had to cut away a portion of the valve disk around the mounting collar ensure the flapper wouldn't bind against the collar and fail to seal. This was installed on an old American Standard toilet from 1967. With that slight adjustment, it seems to work ok.

My fault .I should have read the reviews first. Made to attach to the overflow tube. Like others, I cut it off as it was too small to slide over the outlet tube. It would not seat properly after a flush. I wouldn't do a full flush without holding the handle down. I can't return it because I cut the connector off. My wife made me remove the flushing instructions. 1. Hold handle down until flush is complete. 2. Remove tank cover, roll up your sleeve and push the flapper into place 3. Keep a towel nearby and replace the tank cover.

No, I do not recommend this product.
