Surprisingly simple and independent for multi media devices or apps. Insert two AA batteries and place it where you want. When set off due to a leak or a test an audible sound is made, no need to have an app or phone to get the notification!

Didn't even last a year. Makes a faint ticking sound if you put a fresh battery in it now. Does not detect water at all.

A: Place it on the floor beside the unit, i.e. water heater, softener, toilets, dishwasher, water rads, water pressure tanks, pumps etc.
