Buttons take some getting used to.

The thermometer itself works fine- accurate temp and pretty fast- but the buttons are awkwardly placed on the side of the unit so you need to hold it really tightly and push quite hard. There is no "click" to tell you if the button has been pressed so you just hope your finger is in the right place and press. You get used to it but it's a learning curve for sure.

Thermomètre de cuisson Paderno

Malheureusement les boutons sont bien trop difficiles à peser, et aucun retour tactile ou audio ne permet de facilement savoir si on a bien pesé sur le bouton. Je ne sais pas si c’est uniquement mon unité qui a ce problème, mais je n’aurais pas acheté le produit si j’avais connu ce problème.
Pour la lecture de la température tout fonctionne, mais l’ergonomie n’est pas bonne pour la raison citée plus haut.
Si vous avez des enfants ou si ce thermomètre est destiné à des personnes âgées avec des douleurs aux mains, achetez autre chose.

A: The thermometer cover is designed to go on 3/4 of the way then you need to put a bit of pressure for it to go on the whole way. The reason for this is for the cover not to fall off when you put it away in your drawer.

Q: I just bought this and I am unsure if it’s defective or I am doing something wrong.. I turn it on and insert it and the screen is just dotted lines. Has anyone experienced this?
