Best Backpack Ever - Survived a Motorcycle Crash

I bought this backpack about 8 years ago. Still works like the day I got it, after surviving a motorcycle accident with it on, the bag was fine and my work laptop inside was unscathed even though I rolled several times at highway speed. Use it everyday for work and bought a 2nd to use for vacation and trips.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great pockets

Very well made, has enough separate pockets that make it easy to keep my items organized and easily accessible.

I really wanted to like it, but couldn't!

I really wanted to like this backpack, but the carry straps are too short. I'm 6'0" and 210lbs, so I'm not overly big. I had the straps extended all the way out and the shoulder strap uncomfortably cut into my shoulder. The make and finish of the backpack was great, but I just couldn't deal with the fit. My High Sierra was way more comfortable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Each version gets smaller and cheaper.

I bought this a few weeks ago. This is my third one. I have to say the first one I bought was the best. Each one has been lower quality than the previous and the size of areas shrinks. The first one I bought I traveled almost weekly for more than 4 years and I handed it down to my son. He still has it three years later and it is in decent shape. The one I bought three years ago started coming apart in areas within 2 years and finally the handle fell apart. The laptop area was a bit tighter and the pocket next to the tech pocket got considerably smaller. This will likely be the last one I buy as the laptop compartment shrank on the newest one and the zipper now hits the corner of my device. (A device that fit nicely in the second one I had). I really am a fan of the laptop support system but the shrinkage of other areas has taken away some of the utility that I enjoyed. I am an engineering consultant and I am on the road often, so my bag becomes my portable office. I would like to see the team review the changes on this model and revert some of the changes that probably did not increase the profits significantly but considerable diminished the functionality. I guess the alternative is to ignore that and lose the advantages that made this a very cool bag.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Luggage pass through and shoulder straps need help

Quality is good. Design on two areas is a problem. #1 - with a laptop in the laptop compartment, it is impossible to get the backpack to slide over my suitcase handle using the luggage handle pass through. Without a laptop in the compartment it will fit over the handle. #2 - the shoulder straps are not long enough for an adult. I am average size and can barely get both straps over my shoulders with them extended out completely.

No, I do not recommend this product.
