Today the coloured LED Lights stopped working!

Purchased December 4, 2014. December 30, 2014 coloured LED lights stopped working. Disappointing after only three weeks up. One other comment... the spacing between the middle and top parts is very obvious even though i tried to adjust the branches. Otherwise, i really liked the tree and the option to have either coloured or white or alternating lights on.

Coloured Lights Stopped Working on Day 14

We looked for a tree since 2012 and finally fell in love with this one (yes, we're that picky). It has all of the things we were looking for: lots of lights, lots of tips, real-looking, and on sale. We purchased it on 21 November 2014. It looks wonderful with all of the kids' decorations.
We've only had the lights turned on in the evenings until we went to bed. But today, 6 December, the rainbow lights stopped working. Now we're going to have to remove all of the decorations and pack it up to return it. Luckily I kept the receipt and the box. VERY UNSATISFACTORY FOR A NEW PRODUCT.
Before purchasing, I read the review of someone whose lights stopped working after 20mins and figured it was just bad luck, a lemon. Now I'm beginning to wonder... Poor engineering rigour in the lighting department, so take note NOMA.
If you buy this tree, DO NOT DECORATE IT in case you need to return it. You never know when the lights are going to stop working.

Was nice for 20 minutes

Got it home, it was super easy to set up and looked fantastic - one of the nicest artificial trees I've ever had. The light settings worked great ... for about 20 minutes. Then the white setting stopped working completely. And never came back. This was after I had already decorated the entire tree with decorations that don't look good with multicoloured lights. So now I have to un-decorate it and take it back to the store. Not sure if I'll get another the same or not...

Really nice tree! Has lots of branches to hang ornaments from and it is easy to adjust the branches for a very full look. It is also great to have the choice between white and multi-colour! Super easy to setup, highly recommended.

Q: is it stay lit and does need special bulbs Does the tree stay lit when o e light burns out. Also are the rplacement bulbs a certan kind. And does tree use any fuses

A: yes, if one bulb burns out the others stay lit. The tree includes 8 spare bulbs. They look like the standard Noma bulbs Canadian tire sells but I cannot be certain as I have not tried purchasing any yet. Not sure if the tree uses any fuses.

Q: Purpose of the foot pedal? In the instructions it states the foot pedal is an on/off switch while the box changes the modes. I figured mine wasn't working properly so I returned it to find out that both the box and the foot pedal change the modes?

A: I also have this tree, and no matter how many times I hit the foot pedal the tree never turned off, just switched from all white, all colour, and then alternating white/multi.

A: you can select one of three options, white, multi-color or fade effect between white to multi-color. The pedal does not turn the tree on/off.

A: this tree has 3 setting, multicolor only, clear only or fade from clear to colour( this option keeps changing from clear to colour ever 8-10 sec).. very beautiful...

Q: The foot pedal is no longer allowing clear lights, only colour and fading. Is the foot pedal still safe to use?

A: This tree carries a one year exchange warranty against manufacturing defects. To return it for warranty exchange, bring it to any Canadian Tire store within the warranty period, with your receipt. Should a replacement tree not be available a refund card will be offered. Warranty exchanges without the original receipt will be offered at the Canadian Tire store’s discretion.
