Poor quality and durability

My wife purchased this in 2021 to help with my light display and this thing basically fell apart after 2 seasons.
The grabbing hook stopped working after 1 season, it not longer extends fully and is just generally, poor quality.
NOMA products have been declining in quality over the past few years (lights included)
Avoid this tool at all costs
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great tool but not so great when trying to remove lights.

It was really easy putting lights up in our tree but now when I'm taking them down its a bit challenging. I wish there was a way to lock the clasp closed because when It grabs the strand and I try to pull it down the clasp opens up. So some of my lights are stuck in the tree until I can figure something out.

Good, but room for improvements

The light pole is quite good with the trigger working at various lengths and allowing me to place the lights high up in the tree. My only complaint is that the sections are locked by turning and the shaft is quite smooth and can be very difficult to grip to turn to unlock. It could also benefit from some directional arrows to help clarify which direction to turn to lock and unlock.

It's a great pole for grabbing random objects that are out of reach, but it doesn't work well for putting up lights.
