Like all Napoleon® Gourmet Barbecues the Legend LD485 RSIB Propane Grill is packed with premium features. The 740 sq.in. total cooking surface is large enough for big families or big parties. It offers 74,500 total BTUs, including the ceramic infrared side and rotisserie burners and 4 stainless steel tube burners that heat up quickly. The cast iron cooking grates retain heat for fast, efficient cooking and they are porcelain-coated for quick clean ups. It has a JetFire™ electronic ignition for dependable starting.

Lid handle Extremely Hot!

Like the BBQ, but have one concern the handle gets extremely hot, where we have to open it with an oven mitt. The stainless Steele discoloured with the heat, when the lid is open and the plastic side is extremely hot !!

I'm sorry you are running into this issue; the wind may be pushing the heat forward, causing the handle to get hot, we suggest a BBQ shelter to help protect the back of the grill or moving it to a new location. Also cleaning out your drip pan, and sear plates can help eliminate excessive heat. Make sure that the pan is properly installed and pushed back. Q: Does this grill have the i-glow knobs? wondering if this grill has the backlit i-glow knobs. Also does canadian tire sell a napoleon grill cover that fits this grill?

A: At some point since this question was last answered i-glow knobs were removed. Initially the LEDs and switch were removed. Then the clear plastic was changed to opaque blue, then the knobs were replaced with black cylinders which have a blue band and shiny plastic top.

A: Hi, Thank you for your question. Our Legend series grill is proudly made in our plant in China. We engineered and designed it here in Canada and our factory in China makes it to our specification. We have had a very successful relationship with Canadian Tire with this grill. It offers so many great features for its' price point.

A: No, there is no conversion kit available. Napoleon doesn't properly service this model as you would expect from high end brand name. Phone Napoleon yourself and ask: 1-866-820-8686

Q: NG to Propane conversion kit exist for any Napoleon grills? I've an older Ted Reader 605 that's natural gas, now I need it to be propane but can't kit

A: In addition: The conversion kits for the Ted Reader, Legend and Mirage grills have no conversion kits available for them. To go from Natural gas to Propane is a very expensive conversion requiring a great deal of parts. The entire grill would almost have to be disassembled to do it safely. Since we do not have the proper conversion kit approved by CSA, this is not possible at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: What parts of tehe BBQ, Napoleon Legend RSIB, are in stainless steel?

A: be aware though that the side table tops and the doors are only 504 stainless - in other words they are magnetic and are prone to rusting if you don't apply mineral or baby oil from time to time - the other parts like the burners, lid and control panel are 540 stainless - are not magnetic and will not rust.

A: Yes. I now own one. Exceeds my expectations for a NG bbq. I've heard that propane is a hotter burning gas. But this NG gets good and hot when required.
