Not what i expected

The bracket that sticks on the windshield is not adjustable and points the camera towards the sky too much for my liking. It does show all of the road ahead but it would be nicer if it was lower without having to put it in the vice and bending it to where i want it. Also, even in sunshine the video is dark. Poor quality video.

Do not expose the camera to the sun

I never actually installed it. Before I went to install it, I actually read the owner's manual/instruction booklet. Point #7 on page 2 says to not leave it in a window exposed to the sun. The camera mount is permanent, so little chance of that happening, so I bought a less expensive model by the same manufacturer where the adhesion system allows me to remove the camera from the front window when I'm not driving.

Q: Every time we turn the car off and back on the camera needs to retold what mode to be in and also does not start recording automatically. The camera is plugged in to a power source that comes on with the car. How do we set it up to record automatically?

A: Hello, Usually this is an issue with the MicroSD card, please try resetting the dash cam and then reformatting the SD card, if it does not work, please try formatting the SD card through a computer.

A: Hi Mike, Parking Mode is motion detection mode compared to loop recording. Motion detection mode only record when motion is detected while loop recording is continuously recording in x minutes loop as long as power is on. mygekogear support team.
