While defective parts are warrantied for 5 years you will be required to pay the labor to have your product repaired. It may cost more than the original purchase price.

Only used it twice. Belt won't track. you can set it to run true, but as soon as you start sanding it runs off the rollers. Also the rubber coating comes off the roller and the belt slips as soon as you put a load on it.

The belt should remain properly aligned once tracking has been adjusted, and the roller coating should not deteriorate or cause the belt to slip during normal use. What you've described is not the performance we expect from this product.

Since the sander has only been used twice, we recommend returning it to your local Canadian Tire store with proof of purchase so the team can assist you with an exchange or return.

A: I purchased this sander after my new and expensive Metabo (that cost hundreds more), overheated and failed after an hour of continuous use. I needed a sander in a hurry and didn’t want to break the bank. While not a fan of CT-branded power tools, my local store had it on sale so I thought I would try it out. Surprisingly, the CT-branded unit actually worked better than the much more expensive Metabo. I used it all day with no issues. It barely got warm. The best part, the CT sander was on sale for $50 off.

Subject to the conditions and limitations described below, this product, if returned to us with proof of purchase within the stated warranty period and if covered under this warranty, will be repaired or replaced (with the same model, or one of equal value or specification), at the sole discretion of the Maximum Canada authorized repair centre (“Service Provider”).
