Very impressed with this jack. It seems solid and well made. All parts are cast steel and not stamped steel. I've used it to winch and lift a 20ft/4800 Ib shipping container into position. I needed to pivot the container about 45* and lift the one end about 11" to get it into a tight spot The top attachment is very versatile and well suited for a variety of tasks, and not something you'll find on other similar jacks in the same price range. I got this on sale so it was an even better purchase.

Q: There was a product recall on a similar jack (009-1092) back in 2019 for a defective base/foot casting. From pictures, this jack LOOKS to have the same base/foot casting. Can you confirm that this jack (399-9331-0) uses a different base/foot casting?

A: 399-9331 uses a different base than 009-1092. It is a new design with a new mold, size and higher quality.

Q: What is the .... ... maximum clamping force? ... maximum spreading force? ... maximum winching capacity? Why is this not listed in the manual?

A: The new designed top clamp-clevis provides the max forces of clamping, spreading and winching both up to 5000lbs. As the capacity is same, so we mark the consistent rated capacity 5000lbs in the manual.

Q: Just bought this jack and read thru the manual. It states in several places to lubricate the mechanisms with "lubricating oil". It then says in a note, "do not use motor oil or grease". What then is the recommended lubricating oil? Is it a secret?

A: We recommend to use liquid lubricating oil, do not use greasy lubricants like motor oil or grease. We recommend using product number 038-7807 Multi-Purpose lubricating oil.
