Know what you're getting into! Good stuff, but difficult for first timers

This stuff cures strong, very strong. It is priced good, but you want to buy it as a kit I think, at least for your first time, as you need the resin anyway and it comes with a couple things and instructions to help you. This is super difficult to do any type of careful work with! This is meant for bulk initial layers or rough repairs. Do not buy this unless you watch a little YouTube specific to fiberglass mat! Lol, what a mess I made not knowing what I was doing. Do not try to wrap this around wheel well/fender curves! Maybe if you are an expert I guess :D It is strong, and I believe is excellent for it's intended purpose. Just make sure you know what that is. The cloth is much easier to work with. I thought I was going to use this to wrap a spray foam repair, and I did do it, but it was difficult and messy. I would have been better off using wax paper and Long Strand Reinforced Fiberglass Body Filler. Make sure you do this outdoors or have some kind of extreme ventilation system. Not in your garage at the house. Wear gloves (have many, many gloves ready if you are doing a big project, this will be sticky and useless quickly, and coveralls or long sleeve garbage clothes. 100% get the 3m P100 respirator, it cuts the fumes to 0, and the resin you use for this gives a super strong smell. Buy some kind of fiberglass resin paint brush, or buy 50 cheap paintbrushes from Temu like I did, you will go through them fast. I recommend having something on hand that is pointy and hard and disposable to help you poke the matting into place (need this sometimes, not always). I used the back of my paint brushes because I wasn't ready. The cloth product is easier to work with and comes out nicer looking, and pretty smooth. If you use this stuff, make sure you understand why, it's because you want to make some bulk (height) quickly, otherwise use the cloth. This stuff shreds into strands easily, and once you get a blob in place the way you want, if you keep messing around with it, it will move around on you and be difficult, wait for it to harden then apply more.

needed to replace a couple inches of rotten wood, cut it back to solid, drilled some holes poured in resin and shredded mat, packed it in tight and back to a solid unmoving joint

    Does the job

I had a fibreglass trailer that needed some patch work. Seemed high quality and was easy to cut to the correct shape. Repair seems strong.
