Wide variety of towing products available.

Quality product. I used this receiver in conjunction with a drop hitch, (welded together), to create a mounting point from my Kubota to my snowblower.

    Elevate your rack!

Used to elevate class 2 bike rack into receiver to improve approach and departure angles while driving. Also, didn't allow for much additional sway motion.

    Receiver adapter

Used it to raise my cargo carrier a few inches higher as my hitch on my van would have had the carrier very low to the ground. Used it on a vacation trip from Ontario to Florida. It worked perfectly! I would check it periodically during the trip and it was as secure on arrival as it was when we started our trip.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Warning- TOTAL tongue weight is limited to 400lbs

Looks like a great idea however using this extender will put your towing apparatus at risk. In features it claims that the total towing allowed is 4,000lbs and total combined tongue weight is 400lbs. That means that once you install a bike rack (plus two bikes) you are already past 200lbs , leaving you with not enough tongue weight to actually tow anything. Beware.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is the overall length of this dual hitch extension ? it is going under a camper

    1 Answer
    • A: The length from the initial receiver pin hole on on this part which would secure to your vehicle's hitch to the receiver pin hole where the drawbar would be secured it 10". Essentially, It would add 10" to your overall length, 10" would protrude out of the receiver on your vehicle before you add your drawbar. Please note, this has a maximum 4,000 lb Gross Trailer Weight and a maximum 400 lb Tongue Weight.

Q: has anyone used this with a Thule 4 bike carrier while towing a small tent trailer on a Ram 1500? I am curious if there are any clearance issues.

    1 Answer
    • A: This is difficult to determine without specific knowlege of your tent trailer or the bike carrier. However this product was designed for exactly this puprose, allowing clearance for most bike carriers and cargo trays to be used while towing a trailer.

Q: Where to attach trailer. Is the top connector strong enough to attach trailer to or is meant only for bike racks?

    1 Answer
    • A: The top connector has a maximum TW (tongue weight) or "carrying capcity" of 400 lb and is intended for bike racks and other cargo carriers, but NOT for towing. The bottom connector is for towing and has a maximum TW of 400 lb and a maximum GTW (gross trailer weight) of 4,000 lb. The combined load if using both connectors should not exceed 400 lb TW or the maximum weight/towing capacity of your vehicle. These details will be listed in your vehicle owner's manual.
