It seems to work well and is simple to use. So far so good but I haven't had it long enough to see if it will stand up to repeated use over time hence th 3 star review.

We only had the unit for 3 months and it has stopped working. The timer still ticks but no water flows. Unfortunately I can't find my bill to return it

Get what you pay for. It works until it doesn't. I've had 2 of these, and both crapped out after 1-2 seasons. Probably spent twice as much on water wastage than what I saved buying a cheap timer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Will this timer work if connected to a gravity fed tank?

A: I tried it on my 1000l tote tanks that when they are full have 8ft high pressure. Barely any water is coming out. It works with my house tap. Therefore, I guess it will not function properly under low pressure.

Q: Can the yardworks mechanical timer be attached to the sprinkler or does it have to be attached to wall tap where the water comes out from house?

A: I guess you could attach it to the sprinkler end of things but the question would be why? IT is designed to fit in the tap end and a hose connects from there to the sprinkler

Q: How do you programe this timer to come on for 30 min. once a day I want to be able to set this timer for 30 min. and have it come on for 30 min. once a day automatically. Can this be done ? There are no instructions with the timer.

A: You can't - this is a simple countdown timer that you start manually and it turns off after X minutes.

Q: Is there a product like this that connects to a faucet for a sink? Ideally the times would be from 2 minutes to 20 minutes. If something like this is available please let me know. If it is not, is there an attachment that can change the faucet connection to a hose connection?
