A: Of course! It's moisture control potting mix. The only thing I wouldn't use it on is some types of exotic plants that have very specific soil requirements.

A: All of our potting soils may be used for starting seed, however, we recommend using Miracle Gro Premium Seed Starting Potting Mix for best results.

Q: is this a good mix to use with black earth? and what % should you add for each portion of earth? 1/3 mix and 2/3 black earth?

A: This particular mix should NOT be used with black earth. Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix is not a garden soil as it is for indoor or outdoor container projects and is not for in-ground gardening. You would want to use Miracle Gro Nursery Select Annual & Perennial Garden Soil 28.3L or Scotts Essentials Garden Soil 28.3L which would be ideal for inground flower beds and is premixed with Miracle Gro Plant Food for a 3 month feed. You would mix this 50/50 with native soil or black earth.
