MEGA Hot Wheels Elite Series for Ages 8+, Corvette

I purchased this set a couple weeks ago, and was excited to get started on the build. This Corvette is a great looking vehicle, and I was looking forward to putting it on display. Unfortunately, the building experience was terrible. Some pieces fit loosely together, others were perfect, and still others were nearly impossible to snap together. The size tolerance of the pieces is unacceptable. In addition, there were two major design flaws which almost caused me to stop and discard the entire set. Since there are many good reviews, I have to assume my set was defective. Flaw One - when the steering assembly is properly build the 2 front tires both aim in. If I attempt to straighten one wheel out, the other wheel turns in even further in. It's impossible to get both wheels straight. I unassembled and reassembled 2 more times, and the results were the same. Flaw Two - neither front wheel properly fit inside the front wheel wells. Once squeezed inside, the wheels can't be turned at all. Again, i assembled and disassembled 3 times and the results were the same. I REALLY wanted to love the Hot Wheels Brick Shop cars as they are all beautiful, but I will not purchase any more as this build was a "train wreck".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Wheels Corvette Grand Sport puzzle has almost 1000 pieces! 918 puzzle pieces to be exact!!! This is great for a solo project, but the more the merrier is what I found to be the easier way to finish the Corvette Grand Sport!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality product. My kid is in love with this toy.... although it seems like more than just a toy. The amount of customization and features available is awesome. The different wheel sets and types of rims make this toy very cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Hot Wheels building set and I am amazed by the quality build feel and looks of the finished product. Another bonus is the matching 1:64 Hot Wheels car to display together. The build instructions are highlighted well but there is still plenty of challenge in assembly.
