Q: This torque wrench have 10 foot pounds even it says on the box 20-100 foot pounds. My question is if i use the 10 foot pounds is it still accurate?

  • A: The torque wrench is calibrated between 20-100ftlb. and is not accurate especially at the low end ex. if set at 10ftlb. You may overtighten and break something. However, I hate to admit I have used 10ftlbs. but only because of many years repair work, you learn. If accuracy is a must get a lower range torque wrench rated for the Ftlb. range required better safe than broke in more ways than one.
