Horrible experience at The Queensway, Etobicoke location

Bought the 30pc ratcheting wrench set in Etobicoke, The Queensway location. Metric set was missing in the box. I went back to store right away explain to supervisor. At this time no refund or exchange. She said have to watch the security cameras, and suggested comeback to store when the manager available to speak to. I went back 3rd time manager was very rude and gave me Canadian tire Corp # to call. Long story short Corp said it’s up to the store to decide refund or exchange it. Store refuse to give me refund and they don’t have wrench in stock to get the replacement. It’s almost two weeks now… very disappointed with customer care, I’ll think twice before shopping at Canadian Tire again…

Great set.

Great set. Needs very little travel to ratchet, which is convenient in tight spaces. The ratchet is very smooth and confidence inspiring. If possible, I personally like to give the finish torque with the open end so as not to over-stress the ratchet. We'll see if they last, but they feel premium out of the box. Discount price is worth waiting for.

I bought this kit because in the description and in the pictures it states that it goes up to 1 1/8" and 22mm. It does not. I was very disappointed after unboxing it I came to find out it does not have a 1 1/8" and instead has a 24mm which does not equal 1 1/8". As stated in the picture and in the description it states it goes up to 1 1/8". it is a nice set of wrenches but very disappointing that it does not come as stated.

Q: Missing sizes in combination sets. It would be nice if a person wishing to own a complete could purchase the missing sizes like 1 1/16, 9mm, or 20mm to have a complete set of SAE from 1/4 to 1 1/8 and Metric from 6mm to 22mm sizes.

A: Although the missing sizes can't be purchased directly from Canadian Tire, GearWrench (the company CT has manufacturer this set for them) produces those sizes and many more. Their website can be found easily by Googling GearWrench. Their tools won't be dual-branded (Mastercract Maximum on one side with GearWrench on the other), but they're otherwise identical and match the wrenches in this set perfectly.

Q: Are these 12 or 6 point? For a ratcheting design it makes more sense to go with 6 point design. Unless, gear mechanism isn't strong enough to handle extra torque that could be applied with a 6 point.

Q: Are these supposed to be 0° wrenches meaning perfectly flat from one end to the other? I bought a set and only 5 of them were a true 0° so I'm just wondering if it's 25 of them that are misshapen or just the 5 are? To me it wouldn't make sense to make a non-reversible wrench have a bit of an offset.

A: All the ratcheting wrenches are designed in the same manner. None are "off-set" because, the user has to have the ability to flip the wrench over to change the fastening or unfastening direction.
