Q: Would not this kit not require a 1/2" to 1/4" adapter to use with a impact wrench? Shouldn't it be included?

A: Impact, meaning impact driver, not impact wrench. An impact driver is like a cordless drill but the chuck is specially designed to accept screwdriver bits like the ones in this set, and of course, uses impact technology somewhat like an impact wrench. The magnetic bit holder in this set is not needed with an impact driver but it makes using these bits convenient with regular cordless drills. It is not necessary to have an impact driver to use these bits. If using a non-impact cordless (or corded) drill, these are preferable because the tips are stronger.
