Q: Maximum Occillating Multi-tool comes with extra part called a "Washer" in the manual; what this part is used for & how is placed on the tool?

A: See the Instruction Manual, page 14 figures D1 and D2 and "Note". The 'washer' is for inserting Dremel and Porter Cable blades and accessories onto the 'accessory interface'.

A: In addition to the blades, sander adapter, sanding discs, etc., included are a Dremel Adapter to accommodate Dremel accessories (the Dremel adapter is identified as a "washer" on page 9 of the Instruction Manual) and a 'spare flange' (the 'spare flange' is longer and is required to hold the Dremel adapter and Dremel accessories on the 'Accessory Interface', see 'Note' on page 14 of the Instruction Manual, pertaining to Figures D1 and D2).

Q: Can the blades for this be used on other multi-tools (eg. milwaukee)? Is there an adapter that will allow this?

A: The oscillating tool and the blades for it are universal and will fit most other blades/oscillating tools, if not all. Milwaukee products should not need an adapter. There is a spare washer that is included with the Maximum oscillating tool so that it can be used with Dremel and Porter Cable blades.

Q: Can the maximum 3A Oscillating multi tool be used to cut sub flooring under counter toe kick ?

A: Yes, it should be able to cut sub floor under a counter toe kick. The toe kick would need to be big enough to fit the oscillating tool. The dimensions of the oscillating tool are: H: 3.86” W: 2.52” L: 13.27” For small spaces like this, the oscillating tool can turned on its side for more cutting angle options (On its side: vertical or slanted/angled, versus Right side up: straight out/horizontal).

Q: To install some accessories, you need to "completely remove the flange". How do you do that? The instruction manual doesn't explain it.

A: The latch will need to be pushed all the way forward as described in figure A in the manual. Once all the way forward, simply pull the bolt/flange away from the tool. You can then insert the blade in place, put the bolt back in position and close the latch as demonstrated in fig c in the manual.
