These are not MAXIMUM quality

My understanding is that MAXIMUM branded tools are supposed to be higher quality than Mastercraft branded tools. These are really poor quality sockets. Even on sale I'd be hesitant to purchase these.
I originally bought this set to keep in the back of my vehicle for emergencies. For one the socket finish is not very consistent with each other. Some are a shiny finish while other sockets are a matte finish.
The socket rail shown in the current product page is not accurate. What I received was a friction fit socket rail. Which does not hold the sockets very well. For example the 15mm is very loose. I thought I was just unlucky and got a bad batch. Returned the set for a different set. I got an even worse set with the 19mm and 15mm socket not holding onto the rail correctly... So the chances of you loosing some sockets is pretty high.
Whoever the manufacturer CT is using for these sockets have really missed the mark here by miles.

Ok for price

Sockets edges slip fairly easily when you dont grip it properly. After a couple uses for brake jobs the end was stripped.

Look good but slightly shorter

Look to be decent quality. Sockets are slightly shorter then other brand shallow sockets. The height is similar size to the gearwrench shallow 3/8" sockets.

Good socket set, socket rail could be improved

Socket set is solid, but the plastic socket holder makes pulling and putting sockets in very difficult. Wish it had a metal socket rail.
