Ok but not great

Not strong enough. My wheel nuts where torqued to150lbs (verified) but this impact wrench was unable to loosen them even though it’s rated at 200lbs

If the nuts won't budge, you can use a breaker bar to break them loose and always ensure that you use the the proper impact-rated socket. We hope these suggestions help!

Excellent Impact, yes, I recommend.

I picked this impact up about a year ago now, does everything I've asked out of it. Has no problems with the wheel nuts on my pickup (140lbs), trailers in the yard or engine disassembly. On occasion when I know I need more I grab its big brother high torque model which I've had for 5 or more years now. For typical 1/2" duty this gun works great, good weight and erogonomics. A big plus is one can throw the 40 volt Max battery on it, same goes for the high torque model I have (54-2312). Maximum absolutely rules in regards to backwards compatible 20/40 volt batteries. I know of no other manufacturer that can say the same. This is a terrific buy when on sale, great warranty, tough to beat for the sale price. It's no Makita but it's 200 ft lbs of torque fills the low end gap uses for me.

Charger issues

Purchased today at full price. Needed something and most reviews positive. Battery had 3 of 4 bars of charge. Wrench seems to work ok. Thought I would get a full charge before using. Battery fits into charger kind of sloppy. But on close examination it appears it’s fully connected. No charging lights come on. Tried multiple times wiggled it around and only managed to get the red light to flash on a few times. ( which is a fault indicator) . Didn’t try out as impact, will return tomorrow as I can’t keep a unit with a faulty battery or charger. I don’t have any other tools within battery platform. Can’t recommend as failed parts out of box.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Why is there a hole in the anvil for a detent ball/pin when the anvil has a friction ring?

A: Persobally I like having this option, not many manufacturers offer it. Say you are only going to use this impact with a certain size socket, you can slip a pin thru it along with the o-ring retainer and never have to worry about it coming off OR where the socket went to when you pick up the tool. Its just added retention, I'm a fan.

Q: Why do you put the specs for this particular impact wrench in inch-pounds when almost all your other impact wrenches are listed in foot-pounds? Seems kind deceptive. Please be more consistent in future please.

A: There is a mistake in the specifications. The torque is actually 200 ft lb, not 200 in lb. Blame whoever wrote up the spec sheet for cdn tire.

Q: I love this impact wrench, but the friction bearing that holds the sockets on has always been loose. Having used this wrench for over a year now, the sockets do not stay on at all anymore. Is this a replacement situation or would it be repaired?
