Good unit

Unit is a little bit noisy, but well withing the acceptable levels. Comes with LED lights over each wheel compared to previous model that came with 1 central bulb. Assembly is easy, takes about 10 minutes.

A: The duty cycle is the users' own usage rate. This machine has a short time duty of 30 minutes (S2 30min.)

Q: Can a wire wheel brush be used on this grinder and if so what else is needed to install it?

A: A 6” wire wheel brush with a 1/2” centre hole could be used if you use a spacer or washers to move the wheel out far enough for the nut and washer to contact the wheel. I use this grinder at its lowest speed of 2000 rpm to sharpen my wood lathe tools. This requires very little power and a short run time. The 2-1/2 amp motor could handle a wire wheel for light duty cleaning and polishing.

A: The functions are the same except that the base, wheel guard and motor housing are different in appearance. 0556797 has an LED lamp with an independent switch, and the 0553503 has an industrial lamp.
