Good thing it was disscontinued

Worked well for the first year, then the on/off switch fell apart. I Understand why it was discontinued and feel ripped off. I will not buy a Maximum product again as Canadian tire makes claims and does not back them up.

Awful Saw cheaply made

I would 100% not recommend any in house Canadian Tire brand products as they often brake shortly after buying. I bought this saw a little over a year ago and have been unhappy with it since day 1. The fence is cheaply made and almost always out of square. The internal fuse switch goes sometimes which is great but can take several attempts to restart. Today the blades height adjustment mechanism started to freely float, when calling the support line/warranty information was told by a recording that no one is able to answer my call. For a saw that cost nearly $500 before taxes you would think it would consistently square, continue to work well under normal/little use and last for over a year.
No, I do not recommend this product.

there is no chance this saw would stand up to job site use even for a short period of time although that is not my issue. when the side extension wing is unlocked and extended (at all) and relocked the fence guide rail at the front of the machine does not lock and is at the least 3/16" out of square. who in their right mind is going to square up the fence manually with the blade for each cut...cheap engineering...the saw goes back tomorrow

Picked this saw up last week for a small home job (kitchen base cabinets) and out of the box it was a mighty fine looking saw! When I finally figured out which Allan keys I would need to buy to make the adjustments necessary to use the saw, for the life of me I just wasn't able to get the fence to stay locked in place......it kept moving up to 1/4" out of line!
I returned the saw this morning and lo and behold.......the Dewalt model is on sale for the same price this week! Guess I'll give that one a try!

A: Thanks for the help MC&MX, but the fence moves when the extension table is out, because the extension table cannot be locked properly. I am looking for a solution to that weak locking mechanism.

A: There is no table insert for the dado blade included in this table saw, the manufacturer suggest not to use 8” dado blade on this product, as it is not safe.
