This scale will give you fairly accurate read if the fish is not moving ,there are no waves rocking the boat, and there is no wind of any kind , My friends actually laugh at this scale because it will give you twenty different weights for the same fish, it is like watching a stopwatch , the numbers are constantly changing! A 3 lb walleye can weigh anywhere from 1.3lbs to 4.12 lbs

This fish scale is very accurate. I used increments of water in oz. and in kilograms and weighed my container to hold the water on a $100 digital food scale. With water weighing exactly 10 lbs per Imperial gallon, the accuracy at 30 lbs was accurate to within 1 oz. Not too bad considering how cheap in price this scale is. I use the scale for weighing luggage and for other odd weighing chores. I also like the included case that keeps the stainless hook from flopping around when I travel, unlike the other similar scales. Great purchase!

Q: How do you clear the memory of this product? I've been trying for a few days, and I can't get the memory clear. It either says 'full' or 'fail'.

A: To clear a single weight – hit the tare button on top To clear all the memory – hold both buttons down at the same time until the measurements will flash on and off. The memory will now be reset.
