This is a great vacuum for it's power(10.5 amps - 5HP motor), storage and overall performance.
Storage for the wands, hose, power cord and accessories are well thought out.
I pair this with a Dust Deputy and it's flawless!
Bag is clean and not a spec of dust on the cartridge filter.

Très bonne capacité d'aspiration pour le garage et le nettoyage des voitures. Avec un filtre à poussières fines, je connecte le tout à une poignée pour la finition du plastrage et c'est merveilleux pour éviter les dégâts et les capter à la source. Q: Why does the mastervac 45L discontinued? Just wonder coz i have one and afraid cant buy parts in the future (eg. filter, cartridge, bag, etc).

A: No need to worry really because all the parts are fairly standard and interchangeable with similar products. I own this vac and have easily found bags, filters etc. at CT so I would imagine you could find them anywhere.

Q: Bag or No Bag? Why so many conflicting answers from CTire about whether or not to use an internal bag with this discontinued vacuum? This vacuum doesn't even have a way of hanging a bag over an inlet nozzle anyway, or am I missing something???

A: We recommend the use of a Collection Bag for Dry pick-up. This helps to reduce debris collecting on the filters. For this particular model we recommend 054-0003 Shop-Vac Collector Filter Bags 37-53 L. Please place the inlet nozzle through the opening in the bag until the majority of the nozzle is through the bag.

A: No, a collection bag is not required for dry vacuuming. However, it will extend the life of your filter by containing debris and make clean up after use easier.

Q: Can the vacuum be used without the cartridge? What is the use for cartidge?

A: The Vac is designed to be used with a foam filter for wet pick up or a paper filter such as a cartridge filter or filter bag for dry pick up. The filters are in place to protect the motor from contact with debris which if ingested into the motor can cause damage resulting in a failure.
