Am sure it works for its intended use but was purchased for removing carpet staples. Our error. Gave it three stars because of this, but could easily be a 5 if used properly.

Awful. Does not slide under tight staples because the tip is too wide and too thick. Does not grip staples. The plastic handle has holes on the underside where it seems a rubber grip should be, leaving your fingers pressing into the square, hard-edged openings. The tool rests on the edges of the rocker, not the whole bottom surface, so when you are trying to gain leverage, those edges are pressed into the wood, leaving indentations. Bought two. Returned both. I received very good customer service at the returns desk.

This tool worked great. I used it to pull out hundreds of staples left behind after pulling carpet pad up. Wish I had purchased it sooner. May go buy another as a spare.
